I bought a Pashley! She is mine.
It is the size and color I requested.
17.5 inch (the smallest). I'm 5'3". Black.
Wonder why I look so happy?!
It's truly a dream bike.
I haven't made any modifications to it yet.
After I ride it for a while I'll see about making a couple of small changes.
Brooks leather grips would be nice.
And maybe a double kickstand.
That's T.J. He took great care of me.
You'll be seeing a lot of this bike on the blog!!! And in case you're wondering, I'll probably be selling the Bianchi. Currently I have the Bianchi and a special fixer-upper-project vintage mixte and now the Pashley. I have room in my garage for 2 but 3 is not realistic.
The day one gets a new bike is truly a great day!!!
Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteDon't give up on the mixte. LOL
Julie
your liclavia friend with the pink Centurian mixte
How exciting! What a marvelous day... enjoy riding all around on that stylish and gorgeous bike!!
ReplyDeleteNice to hear from you, Julie! Hope to see you at CicLAvia again next weekend! I haven't given up on the Centurion! Have just been a teensy bit overwhelmed with my mess of an apartment! (Moved into a smaller place and have been steadily purging my belongings...not an easy or quick undertaking).
ReplyDeleteVery nice! I like the fact that it comes with a generator hub and light.
ReplyDeleteNice one Dreamlet! N+1 is always good.
ReplyDeleteAs for storage, if you have a garage, there are always options- roof hooks, wall hooks etc.
Good choice! Lovely bike.
ReplyDeleteWow. A gorgeous bike for a gorgeous lady. Do you have a Yakkay helmet? I read somewhere they will be for sale here in the US in June/July of this year.
ReplyDeleteYou need to get a picture of you in a skirt, tweed jacket, brown riding boots, matching Yakkay helmet and those big ol' sunglasses of yours! LOL
Congratulations on your new Pashley. She's lovely :)
ReplyDeletevery nice! congratulations.
ReplyDeleteHow cool! You must have gotten your Pashley at about the some time as me. In the same color and frame size! I definitely recommend a double kickstand, and possibly even a front wheel stabilizer. I know that with mine the front wheel always wanted to flip around, which was a pain when I was trying to load the basket. I put Brooks grips on mine. LOVE them. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of you bent over checking out the undercarriage. We all do it but I don't think I'd seen it caught on film with such grace and aplomb.
